April 24th, 2009 - April 24th was a beautiful day, especially due to the fact that the Firm was celebrating their 8th Annual Sailing Day that afternoon. Kai Lani's catamaran was more than enough room for the Firm's staff and it's attorneys and the food and music just topped off a perfect day out on the water.
Spotlight 1! Dennis J. LeVine Elected to ABI's Board of Directors. The American Bankruptcy Institute (ABI) announced that Dennis J. LeVine of Dennis LeVine & Associates, P.A. (Tampa, FL) has been elected to ABI's Board of Directors. An ABI member since 1990 and former co-chair of ABI's Consumer Bankruptcy Committee, Mr. LeVine is also a frequent contributor of consumer bankruptcy articles to the ABI Journal. He is a former co-chair of ABI's Southeast Bankruptcy Workshop. Mr. LeVine will serve a term of three years on the 60-member ABI Board of Directors.
Spotlight 2! - Our very own Alison Walters is now an officer on the Board of Directors of the newly reformed Florida Creditors Bar Association (FLCBA). The FLCBA was originally founded in 1997 to promote the practice of creditors' rights law in Florida. Its mission is to elevate the practice of collection law and creditors' rights. The FLCBA strives to promote legislation and court rules to strengthen and improve the judicial system for the advancement of creditors' rights.
Recent Publishing 1! - Mr. LeVine's article on "Creditors: Make Sure Stay-relief Affidavits Are Accurate! Attorneys: Do Not Sign Them!" was just published in the American Bankruptcy Institute Journal's March 2009 issue. See the article by clicking here.
