Sarah K. Olsen, a native of Tampa, joined the firm on June 18, 2008. Prior to joining the firm, Ms. Olsen was a staff attorney with a Fortune 500 company, Fidelity National Information Systems, Inc.(FNIS) in St. Petersburg, Fl. Ms. Olsen practiced in the Check Division of FNIS handling FDCPA and FCRA claims, mergers and acquisitions and federal e-discovery for national class action suits.
Ms. Olsen received her B.A. degree in Public Relations from the University of Central Florida, Orlando, receiving high marks, in 2002. She completed her Juris Doctorate from Stetson University, College of Law, in May 2007. While in law school, Ms. Olsen worked full time with a local Tampa firm and went to Stetson part-time. Ms. Olsen also competed on Stetson's Alternative Dispute Resolution Board placing within the top 5 teams in all of her competitions and winning the National Championship in the 2006 ABA Arbitration Competition held in Austin, TX. She was also the chief part-time ambassador for Stetson and served as a lieutenant governor of resolutions for the ABA-LSD 5th Circuit.
Ms. Olsen was admitted to practice in Florida in September 2007 and in the federal courts for the Middle District of Florida in 2008. Ms. Olsen practices in the areas of creditors' rights, bankruptcy, commercial and business law.
